About You:

You have a passion for Electronic Warfare and support the introduction and delivery of new technologies in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment. As a collaborative team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude you have a drive to deliver quality whilst meeting deadlines. You have the ability to work largely unsupervised with independent thought and initiative. You treat the workplace, other staff and the business environment with respect. Your Role and Responsibilities: 

As the Radio Frequency (RF) and Electronic Warfare (EW) Technician, you will be responsible for calibrating, fitting, diagnosing, repairing, testing and operating equipment that generates radio signals, including associated transmitting and detection systems within the scope of services provided by Mellori Solutions. You will assist with the assembly and testing of electronic harnesses and assemblies in a workshop environment as well as support field deployments both local and interstate.

Your duties will include:

  • Carrying out system inspections and calibrations
  • Providing technical support and guidance to RF system design, testing and development
  • Presenting in-house operator training material as required
  • Operating and maintaining Through Air Test Systems (TATS) and other deployable systems
  • Conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), installation, proof of concept testing, Validation & Verification (V&V)
  • Preparing for deployment to support testing activities
  • Assisting with the upgrades of Defence RF equipment
  • Maintaining up-to-date records

Key Requirements:

  • A passion for creating innovative solutions for technologies in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • NV2 Security clearance (or a willingness to obtain)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
  • Cert IV in Electronics or demonstrable equivalent electronics experience
  • An understanding of RADAR and EW principles (highly desirable)
  • Previous experience in a hands-on electronics technician role.
  • Good working knowledge of modern test equipment, including at a minimum, Signal analysers, VNA, receiver-based signal analysers, signal generators, power meters, frequency counters and digital storage scopes
  • Fault find to LRU level as a minimum
  • Willing to travel for deployment
